Session Clerk


After many years of service as Session Clerk to St. Ninian’s Kirk Session, Andrew Gibb has decided that he would like to stand down.  His last Kirk Session meeting as clerk will be in December 2021.

The Kirk Session and I are very grateful for all that Andrew has done for the Session and St. Ninian’s as a whole, and we are keen to mark our appreciation for his years of service.  We will discuss arrangements for doing so at a later date.

In May the Kirk Session agreed to appoint a team of Session Clerks to work together to support the Kirk Session, the minister and the congregation.  The Kirk Session would welcome nominations for appointments to this new Session Clerk team from members of the congregation.  A Session Clerk does not have to be an elder, and more details about the role and the team structure can be found on the St. Ninian’s website:

If anyone would like to make a nomination, please seek permission from your proposed nominee first, and make nominations to the minister in writing before the end of July 2021. There is no formal nomination form, a simple letter is all that is required at this stage.
